Google Analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics, a freemium user analytics service that tracks website traffic and reports it. The service is provided by Google Inc. (“Google”) and it uses “cookies” – files stored on your computer which make the analysis of website use possible.

Information gathered through cookies are sent and stored in a US-based Google server, where it is used by Google for the purpose of evaluation of the websites user activity which will be reported to the respective website owner.

We also use Google Analytics to help us advertise to people that have shown interest in products and services that we offer. The advertisement is conducted through Google-owned services, and the targeted audience is chosen based on their genuine interest in the aforementioned products manifested through their browser search. This way we assure that the advertising is based on user needs and that it is not considered a nuisance.

This service is exclusively used with IP anonymization, meaning that your IP address will be shortened. It is only in exceptional and rare cases that the full IP address will be sent to the US servers and then shortened.

The data collected through this service will not become part of any other data that is in possession of Google.

This data collection and processing is conducted in accordance with Article 6 paragraph 1 letter f of the GDPR, for it represents a legitimate interest of our company. In addition, Google’s privacy-shield certification guarantees that it will abide by the laws defined in the GDPR.

Google-Marketing-Services policy

Vivid Binaries GmbH uses the Google-Marketing-Services in order to better define our targeted audience when it comes to advertising our products and services. This mainly refers to remarketing through Google created services, where remarketing represents sending ads to users that have already shown interest in such products through their browser search and previous visits.

In order to conduct such profiling and targeting Google uses web beacons, code incorporated and initiated through marketing tags upon visiting a website that has Google marketing services activated. This process creates the so-called “Cookie”, a harmless file on your computer that is used for gathering data about your browser activity such as user operating system, browser information, time and date of visit and similar information concerning your visit to the website. The users IP is also collected but in a shortened form. Only in exceptional cases will the IP address be sent in full to the US server and then shortened. These cookies can come from different domains and the user can easily disable and delete them should he choose to.

User data is processed pseudonymously, meaning that only the data relevant to that cookie is being processed. Name, e-mail address or any other data that can be traced back to the user will not be processed. The purpose of these cookies is not to identify the website’s user but to create statistics concerning its usage. With this information, the website owner can offer better services to people that actually need them.

Google-Marketing-Services may use cookies from third party advertising platforms such as “DoubleClick” and “AdSense”. These cookies enable Google and their third-party partner websites to advertise to users using their visitation data, thus creating useful ads shown to people who have shown genuine interest in the products and services they are presented.

This data collection and processing is conducted in accordance with Article 6 paragraph 1 letter f of the GDPR, for it represents a legitimate interest of our company. In addition, Google’s privacy-shield certification guarantees that it will abide by the laws defined in the GDPR.
